Meet Connie Sands

Watercolor, Oil, Acrylic Paintings and Collages

Connie is a native of Toledo, Ohio, moving to Indiana in 1988. After an extensive business career in purchasing and management, she is now devoting most of her time to painting in watercolors, oils, and acrylics. Her recent work in collage brings a new and exciting dimension to her portfolio. She currently works from her home studio in Carmel, Indiana.

She has participated in workshops of some very talented artists, including Alvaro Castagnet, Ken Hosmer, Jean Grastorf, Bill Borden, Sandy Ezell, Kathy Cornelius, Becky Taylor, Marilynn Derwenskus, Diane Maxey, and Betsy Dillard Stroud. Using their instruction and techniques, her own style has emerged.

Connie is a Signature member of the Watercolor Society of Indiana and has served on the Board for nine years. Several of her paintings have been selected for their annual Juried Show and she received the WSI Member Award in 2012. She also has memberships in the Hamilton County Artists Association and the Hoosier Salon.
